Vista After Hours

An excellent evening out, laid on by TechNet and hosted at Microsoft’s new London offices (well worth the trip just to see them).

The event was run By James Senior and Matt McSpirit, designed to demonstrate Windows Vista’s incredible powers at home rather than in a working environment (hence the name “Vista After Hours”)

The presentation was mainly based on demo’s showing the full power of Vista’s Multimedia capabilities concentrating on, Vista Search, Live Photo Gallery, integration with Windows Home Server and  Media Centre .

After a few technical issues we were also treated to a display of the X-Box 360 working as a media extender and its ability to link up to your home pc and run your Media Centre.

I must say I really enjoyed the evening, although this was the second time I have seen this particular event, I found loads more interesting pointers to help with my digital life style.

Thanks again to James and Matt for a highly entertaining evening, and also a big thanks to Microsoft for laying on the venue and the much needed food and drinks.

(Oh! and Happy Birthday James!)
