Windows Server 2008 TechNet Roadshow

24/04/08 Well what a great event, held at the Vue Cinema in Fulham the TechNet Roadshow on Windows Server 2008 and Vista Service Pack 1, was a superbly put together day.

With the usually freebies and Software the day kicked off with an intro By Steve Lamb highlighting the day’s events.

The first full presentation was conducted by Viral and Andrew highlighting the Windows Top Features -  IIS7, Server Core, Bit Locker, Nap and Hyper – V. As the day progressed there was plenty more interesting talks on How to Manage Windows Server 2008 - James O'Neill on Powershell and in the afternoon the sessions included how to Deploy and manage the desktop and a look into SP1 for Vista.

Rounding up the day was a chat on challenges of running Small Office and Branch Office  (Read only Domain Controllers) followed by a Q & A with many prizes given out for great questions.

In all a great day and I must say that It was great to see all the presenters enjoying the banter and day as much as the audience.

Below are some links to the presenters blogs as these are a great place of reference, check out James O'Neills for loads on PowerShell.
