With most of us still getting used to I.E 7 it may seem a long way off but Internet Explorer 8 is in its first Beta stage already, and available for download.

I've tried it at home, seems more like a 7.5 release instead of a 8 but I guess the rendering engine is completely different.  Anything that moves IE towards proper standards mode is a good thing.  Would mean less iehacks.css type files we all see in websites. :)

I tried it on my laptop, but it just seemed to freeze up all the time ending in a reinstall, glad I have a full back up image.

Ive been using it on my laptop and its been working weel.  The only thing I cant get to work is Sun Global Desktop

I might give this another go now I've updated mine to SP1, hopefully I will have better luck than last try.
