    Quick Launch Tool Bar

    I have just come from dealing with what I can only describe as a trigger happy user, that somehow always has the ability to delete icons to important settings and program short cut’s.

    The latest icon to fall victim to his obsessive desire to render his pc unusable,  the Show Desktop Button, one icon that apparently he relies on heavily.

    Now this luckily can be restored quite easily in one of two ways.

    The original icon is created as a short cut, but you are able to recreate this using the Windows file SHOW DESKTOP.SCF found in a hidden folder called:

    %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Internet Explorer\Quick launch Folder

    ·         You can replace this file by copying from another users profile or

    ·         You can recreate the file by following these next steps.

    1.       Open Notepad

    2.       Enter this text:-

    [Shell]

    Command=2

    IconFile=explorer.exe, 3

    [Taskbar]

    Command=ToggleDesktop

    File Save As SHOW DESKTOP.SCF in %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Internet Explorer\Quick launch Folder
