Hi Ray
Yep! Vista SP1 has now been shipped (RTM) but by all accounts we will not be able to download for another 6 weeks, offical release is due same as Server 2008, according to the latest info.
If you're a volumn licensing customer you can get it this friday, MSDN and TechNet Plus subscribers can get it end of this month.

I have an MSDN subscription and have just downloaded NOW Thursday a day early!!!!!!
Will be installing Vista's service pack 1 tonight.
Where from? I can't find it on msdn.
I just went to MSDN home then Subscriber Download Page on thursday night but, I've just checked and it was listed under the Top Subscriber Download section at the bottom of the page.
Regards
Day to day work has not shown up any real difference had to reinstall a few drivers on usb camera etc, but that was to be expected.
As far as the kernel is concerned I don't think it has been fully re-engineered from what i have seen, however a number of API's have been introduced which should help the independent software vendors to run there software on 64-bit PC's.
