    Logon Screen

At the EVO Community event on the 21st June, I got asked a question by someone unfortunately the name escapes me now so apologies for that.

The question that was asked, How do I set up Vista in a domain to log on without the Logon screen showing pretty pictures of fluffy bunnies etc. As this seems a tad unprofessional.

The only way so far that I could find a way round this was to do the following:-

Now by default Windows Vista shows the name and picture of the last user to successfully login.

For a computer that is shared by many people i.e. (work place, domain) you may prefer not to show the last user.

To stop the last user credentials from appearing on the desktop complete the following.

    ·         At the Command prompt type secpol.msc, In the Local Security Policy,

    ·         Open Local Policies\Security Options.

    ·         Then enable the policy named Interactive Logon: Do Not Display Last User Name
