If you've ever noticed your c:\msocache can be quite big. From my investigation this seems to be filled with Office install files.
I don't need them, and I doubt you do either. Here are the steps to get rid of them:
- Click Start
- Type: Disk Cleanup
- Chose "Files from all users on this computer"
- From the Drives list in the Select Drive dialog box, select the hard drive that contains the Msocache folder
- Select the Office Setup Files checkbox in the Files to Delete list
- Click OK.
- When you are asked Are you sure you want to delete these files? select Yes
