I also attended the event and agree with Simon, it was a very entertaining evening with some excellent demo's provided by both James Senior and Matt McSpirit. I particularly found the demo on remote connection to the home server very informative allowing you to connect to your home network over the internet any ware at anytime.
I really believe that this will be the way to go in the future, with the additional facility of providing the complete back up and recovery solution. Can't wait for the RC1 client release!
