Microsoft have just released the beta for the Microsoft Assessment and Planning Tool (MAP) 3.1 this is the replacement for the Windows Vista Hardware Assessment  tool.

It will give you the ability to assess servers and desktops for O/S migration and virtualization this also includes assessments for Hyper-V and desktop security
