    Missing Hyper Terminal

Off I went today to visit one of my company’s customers with a view to identify an issue they have been having with their firewall.

With a trusty laptop in hand, plugged into the back of the said PIX to initialise a telnet session and what do I discover for the first time and not that convenient a time!

No Hyper Terminal installed as standard in Windows Vista!

Luckily you can still download a copy for personal use for free from the company that originally built the program for Microsoft. But for business purposes you will need to pay check out the link below.

    Hey Scott

Just a reminder about Putty which is a pretty sweet tool for this sort of thing. http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/ is the link

    Hi Ray

Thanks for the link, not tried Putty before, but will give it a go.
